Tesco shoppers can now get money off EasyJet holidays, as the company has been added to the supermarket’s Clubcard scheme.
Now, after earning Clubcard points, you can double the value of your voucher, and turn it into EasyJet holiday credit.
And, as EasyJet is now a Clubcard Reward Partner, it means you can double the value of your points when you buy a holiday with them.
This credit will appear in your EasyJet holiday account – which you need to set up, using the same email address that is registered to your Clubcard.
The EasyJet holiday credit is valid for six months and must be used to pay for a package holiday with EasyJet holidays, rather than on standalone flights.
As of February 2024, a whopping 22 million households in the UK were Tesco Clubcard members, joining the loyalty program to nab deals and savings on their weekly shop so the partnership is sure to be good news for those already dreaming about their summer holidays.
Tesco said the announcement could be ‘one of the biggest names’ to join its Clubcard Reward Partner scheme, which includes brands such as Disney+, 16-25 Railcard and P&O Ferries.
Tesco shoppers will be able to use their Clubcard vouchers to travel to any of EasyJet holidays destinations while include popular spots across Europe and North Africa.
Shama Wilson, group membership and loyalty director at Tesco said: ‘We are sure that Clubcard members will be as delighted.
‘Now, when customers do their weekly shop, they will not only be able to get great savings with their Clubcard, they can also put double the value of their Clubcard Points towards beach holidays and city breaks with one of the leading names in the holiday business.’
Chris Brown, easyJet holidays head of marketing added: ;We’re thrilled to announce this partnership with Tesco Clubcard to give customers the opportunity to exchange their points into easyJet holidays credit to put towards sunshine getaways or city adventures to over 100 destinations across Europe and North Africa.
‘We offer packages to thousands of Europe’s most loved hotels, with availability right the way up to October 2026, giving maximum opportunity to Tesco Clubcard holders to collect and exchange points to put towards a well-deserved getaway.’
The news comes after it was revealed that there’s a ‘secret’ Tesco Clubcard only available to an exclusive group.
The retailer also offers a ‘Colleague Clubcard’ which comes with its own discounts and perks.
The Colleague Clubcard is a benefit for Tesco employees who have worked at the business for at least three months. And staff are also able to share their membership with one other person.
Tesco’s careers website explains: ‘We’re all about making every day a little better. And helping you out with your weekly shop is a great place to start. After three months with us, you’ll get your Colleague Clubcard, giving you access to lots of discounts in-store and online. And you can even get one for a family member too.’
The Colleague Clubcard provides staff with 10% off of purchases in-stores, online, and in Tesco cafes. This rises to 15% off after every pay day for a four-day period.
