NIPER- The eleventh convocation ceremony of Ahmedabad was held in Gandhinagar-Ramesh Chandra, Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Surajmal Bridge University, Bharatpur (Rajasthan) was present.
Ahmedabad, The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – Ahmedabad (NIPER) under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India today held its 11th Convocation at Gandhinagar Campus.
At the ceremony, 173 students receiving Masters degrees in the field of pharmacy were awarded degrees, including 163 Masters (MS and MBA) and 10 PhD scholars.
Shri Ramesh Chandra, Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Surajmal Bridge University, Bharatpur (Rajasthan), the chief guest of the function, congratulated the students and said that today the world has been pushed towards war. Small and big wars are going on in many countries along with Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Palestine. At such times the responsibility of the pharmaceuticals sector increases.
America and China are big competitors in the world. Lowest rate and quality medicine is very necessary to survive in the global competition against them. Government of India is striving for quality and sustainable medicine. Today, India is a major provider of generic drugs. The pharmaceutical sector is an important contributor to the Indian economy. Nipper is accepting such a challenge and preparing students for research and development.

In addition, the prestigious award was given to the student who stands first in overall merit in the Master's program (Batch 2022-2024). Along with this, the toppers in their respective fields of the Masters program were felicitated and the top five meritorious students of the Masters program were awarded certificates of appreciation.
