This committee today various Commission of State Government, Discussions with representatives and political parties of religious institutions were discussed and their suggestions and opinions were made.
It is worth mentioning here that, The state government has constituted a high level committee in place of the chair of retired Justice Ranjana Desai to test the requirement of the same civil law in the state and to draft the code. In this committee, Shri C.L. Dowry, Mr. R.C. Codecter, Mr. Dakshesh Thakar and Mr. Gitaben Shroff have been included as members.
A meeting of the UCC Committee was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmansip of retired Justice Ranjana Desai. In this meeting, the chairperson of the UCC Committee, Justice Ranjana Desai, Appealed to Send to Send Suggestions on the UCC and Said that before the implementation of the uniform condition in the State, an online portal http://uccgujarat.in has been launched to enable the residents of Gujarat, Government Agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations, Social Groups and Communities, Religious Organizations and Political Parties, including gujarat-based organizations, to submit their suppors and views on the uniform Civil Code. The Gujarat Government has constituted a high-level committee under the chairmansip of retired justice ranjana desai to examine the need for a uniform civil code in the state and to prepare a draft of the code. This committee includes Shri Cl Meena, Shri Rc Kodekar, Shri Dakshesh Thakar and Shri Gitaben Shroff as Members.
