PIB Ahmedabad, The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the residential and official premises of the IRS officer in the 2005 batch of disproportionate property, in which eleven places of Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are investigating.
The CBI has registered a case against the 2005 batch accused IRS officer and his wife for obtaining disproportionate assets. It was alleged that the accused had illegally enriched himself and found that he had more financial resources than his income sources.
It is also alleged that the wife of the accused IRS officer helped to obtain disproportionate assets of Rs 1,31,58,291.11, ie 156.24%of his known and legal sources. In addition, it is alleged that the accused invested money illegally earning property in Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Mumbai.
As part of the investigation of the case, extensive searches are being conducted in 11 places, including the premises of the accused and his colleagues in Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. During this investigation so far, criminal documents and digital devices have been seized. Further investigation is ongoing.
