Accused who murdered mother and sister in Uttar Pradesh and absconded from Ahmedabad – killed mother and daughter in land dispute
(Agencies) Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested the absconding accused in the case of double murder of mother and daughter in Uttar Pradesh. A mother and daughter were killed and burnt in a land dispute. The crime branch has arrested the accused from Narol area after getting the information that the accused is hiding in Ahmedabad. The crime branch has arrested the accused Rajan alias Rajesh Upadhyay. who strangulated his mother Godavari Devi and sister Soumya on December 3 in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. After which the bodies were burnt along with other accused. In which crime, the accused Rajan had come to Ahmedabad, Gujarat and was hiding.
So the crime branch has arrested him from Narol area. As far as the incident is concerned, it has come to light that 8 accused have committed the murder due to heartache due to the inheritance done by the father. Out of which 3 accused have been arrested by UP Police. For the murder, the accused choked the mother and daughter, hit them on the head with bricks, strangled them to death. Later he put her in bed and set her on fire.
Arrested accused Rajan's father Awadhes had written 20 bighas of land in the name of his deceased wife and daughter in the will of the property. While accused Rajan and another cousin Karunakar were given one and a half bigha of land. Besides, the land inherited by the father of the accused Rajan from his elder brother was also given in the name of both the deceased.
So, in the will, the accused committed the murder with injustice and heartache. It is important that the accused had called a shooter from Madhya Pradesh before and plotted the murder. However, without being killed, he planned to kill himself and carried out the murder.
A total of 8 accused Rajan, Karunakar, Kamlesh, Kaushal Chandan, Shanti Devi, Shilpadevi, Ram Milan and Balveer alias Munna were involved in the murder of mother and daughter. As Rajan absconded from the crime of murder, while investigating his past, it was found that he had earlier stayed in Ahmedabad for labor.
