Ahmad Shah Badshah, also known as Sultan Ahmed Shah first, was the founder of Ahmedabad, a major city of Gujarat, India. He was the ruler of the Gujarat Sultanate from 1 to 5 and was part of the Muzaffar dynasty.

Establishment of Ahmedabad (1 AD): Sultan Ahmed Shah founded Ahmedabad on the banks of the Sabarmati river. The city was made as the new capital of Gujarat Sultanate in place of Anhilwad Patan.
