Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Shri G.S. Malik on Wednesday visited Chandola Lake along with Municipal Commissioner Mr. Banchanidhi Pani and the Joint Police Commissioner (Crime Branch) Mr. Sharad Singhal.
So far, a total of 210 illegal Bangladeshi citizens have been detained under a special campaign run by Ahmedabad city police. Following the visit, all the officers held a meeting at Isanpur police station, in which the next action was discussed in detail.
The Commissioner of Police directed the police force to keep a close eye on illegal activities in these areas and to take legal action. The proceedings are being undertaken as part of national security and law enforcement.
