Visakhapatnam, A suspected gas leak has been reported at a company in Alchuthapuram, Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh. Several women have been hospitalized after falling ill.
According to the Anakapalli police, 50 people have fallen ill after a gas leak was reported in a company located in Alchuthapuram. SP Anakapalle said that allegedly there is a gas leak in the premises of Brandix. 50 people have been admitted to the hospital. People are being evacuated from the premises.
Police are waiting for APPCB officials to arrive and assess the situation. No one is allowed inside the premises. Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Gudiwada Amarnath has spoken to the officials regarding this incident. He directed the officials to provide better treatment to the victims. It is being learned that there is a garment manufacturing company where the toxic gas has leaked.
50 women employees fell ill due to gas leak. First he started vomiting and complained of nausea. The company employees then took the unconscious female employees to the nearest hospital in an ambulance.
