FIFA has taken this decision after the All India Football Federation’s executive committee took over the day-to-day affairs. FIFA and AFC will monitor the situation in the AIFF and support the Football Federation in holding elections in time.
The Supreme Court ordered the dissolution of the three-member committee that manages the affairs of the All India Football Federation. Along with this, the court ordered that the AIFF’s routine work will be handled by the Acting General Secretary. Along with this, the court also judged the composition of the executive committee of AIFF. The committee will have 23 members including 6 players (two female players).
Not only this, the court also ordered that the elections to be held on August 28 be postponed for a week, so that changes in the voter list and candidature can begin.HS1MS
