(Ahmedabad) Under the 36th National Games-2022, the final match between Women’s and Men’s Kho-Kho teams was held today at Sanskar Dham Sports Academy, Bhopal, Ahmedabad. In kho-kho, the women and men team of Maharashtra had a great performance. The golden players of both the teams of Maharashtra captured the gold medal.
Odisha’s women’s team became silver medalists in the second position and Delhi’s women’s team became bronze medalists in the third position. Besides, Kerala Men’s team became silver medalist and West Bengal Men’s team became bronze medalist. It is worth mentioning that both the women’s and men’s teams of Maharashtra demonstrated their amazing agility in the kho-kho game in the 36th National Games-2022.
National Games-2022 is becoming a platform of learning along with sports for the budding athletes of the country. A grand colorful medal ceremony was organized today at Sanskar Dham Sports Academy, Ahmedabad to distribute prizes to the winning teams and players in the Kho-Kho and Indian Round Archery Games. In this medal ceremony, the players of the women’s and men’s teams, who won first to third place in each event, were honored by presenting medals.
Apart from this, the medal ceremony of the Indian Round Archery Games was also held. Gujju girl Amita Rathwa, a native of Panchmahal district, made Gujarat proud by getting a silver medal in Women’s Individual Indian Round Archery. Gujarat women’s team also bagged bronze medal in women’s individual Indian round archery.
Today Prof. Kuberbhai Dindor, Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education, Statutory and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Gujarat, attended the Indian Archery Round Medal Ceremony and cheered the archery players and honored the winning archery team and players by presenting medals.
Addressing the players, Prof. Kuberbhai Dindor, Minister of State in the Government of Gujarat said, “India has world class players, Gujarat is excited to host the 36th National Games-2022.” He further added that all you players are the pride of entire India.
