Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today addressed the Uttar Pradesh Government Job Fair through a video message. In the fair, appointment letters were issued for direct recruitment to the posts of Sub Inspector in UP Police and equivalent posts in Civil Police, Platoon Commander and Second Officer in Fire Department.

Addressing the occasion, the Prime Minister expressed his happiness that he is getting an opportunity to address job fairs almost every week in BJP-ruled states and that the country is constantly getting a lot of talented youth who bring new thinking and efficiency to the government machinery.
U.P. Participated in a program organized in Lucknow today for distribution of appointment letters to 9,055 officers selected by the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

Highlighting the special importance of the UP Employment Fair today, the Prime Minister said it will bring happiness to 9 thousand families and increase the sense of security in Uttar Pradesh as new recruits will strengthen the police force in the state. The Prime Minister said that both employment and security have improved under the current dispensation, with over 1.5 lakh new recruits in the UP Police since 2017.
Mr. Modi asserted that today, Uttar Pradesh is known for its law and order and developmental approach, far removed from the earlier image of mafias and broken law and order situation. He said this has created new opportunities for employment, business and investment.
Highlighting the twin-engine government’s efforts, the Prime Minister listed new infrastructure facilities like new airports, dedicated freight corridors, new defense corridors, new mobile manufacturing units, modern waterways, bringing unprecedented employment opportunities. He said that UP has the highest number of expressways and highways are constantly being developed. This is not only creating employment but paving the way for more projects in the states. He pointed out that the state’s thrust towards tourism has led to increased employment. Mr. Modi also noted the enthusiastic response received at the recent Global Investors Summit and how it will boost employment in the state.
“The combined strength of security and employment has given a new impetus to UP’s economy”, said the Prime Minister. He said under Mudra Scheme, One District One Product Scheme, thriving MSME and vibrant startup ecosystem Rs. Mentioned collateral free loan up to 10 lakhs.
To the new appointees, the Prime Minister spoke about the new challenges and responsibilities and asked them to keep the student alive in them. He asked them to keep working on their personality development, progress and knowledge.
“When you come to this service, you get a ‘fine’ from the police, but God has also given you a heart. That is why you have to be sensitive and make the system sensitive,” the Prime Minister told the new recruits. He also focused on training which will improve sensitivity and modern areas like cyber crimes, forensic science to promote smart policing.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the new recruits will have both the responsibility of security and direction to the society. “You can be an epitome of both service and strength to the people”, concluded the Prime Minister.
