Modi first honored with Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar Award – Modi attends Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar Award Program
Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Mumbai on a state visit. Where Devendra Fadnavis, Aditya Thackeray, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari welcomed PM Modi. Later, PM Modi attended the Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards. In this program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been honored with the first Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar Award. PM Narendra Modi conferred with the first Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award for exemplary contribution towards nation building in Mumbai on Sunday.
During the program, PM Modi said that there is music, sadhana and spirit too. During the program, PM Modi was emotional remembering Lata Mangeshkar. PM Modi said that Lata Didi, who has given gifts of love and affection to generations, has always received immense love like an elder sister. What could be more fortunate than this? This will be the first Rakshabandhan festival in many decades, when Didi will not be there.
PM Modi further said that music can make one experience motherhood and affection. Music can take you to the pinnacle of patriotism and sense of duty. We are all fortunate to have this nutritional value of music, this power in the form of Lata Didi. “When the award is named after an older sister like Lata Didi, for me it is a symbol of her individuality and love,” he said.
I dedicate this award to all the countrymen. Prime Minister Modi further said- I used to talk to Lata Didi many times. One of his things I will never forget. He always said that human beings grow up not because of their age but because of work. The more he does for the country, the bigger he becomes. PM Modi said that Lata Didi was older than her age and older than her deeds.
