In the final match of the Duleep Trophy in Chennai, West Zone captain Ajinkya Rahane got angry at teammate Yashaswi Jaiswal and sent him off the field. Yashaswi was repeatedly sledging him. Ravi then complained to the umpire. Then the West Zone captain Rahane explained to Yashaswi but even then Yashaswi didn’t believe what Rahane did after that was shocking.
Rahane sent off Yashaswi in the live match. The captain instead called no other fielder and continued the match with 10 players. But after seven overs, Yashaswi was called back to the field again.
In this final match of Duleep Trophy, West Zone team defeated South Zone by a huge margin of 294 runs. West Zone set a huge target of 529 runs against South but the team scored only 234 runs and were all out. Yashwi Jaiswal’s role was very important in West Zone’s victory in the Duleep Trophy final.
He played a brilliant innings of 265 runs in the match. During this he hit 30 fours and four sixes while facing 323 balls. Apart from Yashaswi, Sarfraz Khan also scored an unbeaten 127 runs for West Zone. With the help of these two players, West Zone declared their second innings by making 585 runs for 4 wickets.
In the final match of Duleep Trophy, West Zone team won the toss and decided to bat first. The team scored 270 runs in their first innings.
