New Delhi, Vande Bharat Express train from Delhi to Varanasi has suddenly suffered a technical fault. At Khurja railway junction, the brake of the train jammed due to the seizure of the traction motor. After which the passengers of the train were shifted to Shatabdi Express and sent. Due to a fault in the train, the train was delayed by almost four hours.
Vande Bharat rake (train no. 22436) failed due to bearing defect in traction meter of C-8 coach between Dankor and Ware stations of North Central Railway. ADRM DLI along with his team was conducting on-board inspection in this train.
The bearing jam was fixed with the help of NCR team. Since the development of a flat tire of 80 mm allowed the train to reach Khurja at a speed of 20 km per hour. The train which departed from New Delhi railway station at 10.45 hrs reached Khurja railway junction and the passengers were sent there by Shatabdi Express.
A joint team of 6 officers from NR and NCR headed by ADRM OP Delhi is on site to monitor the situation and assist in transshipment. This will be checked after the train is brought back to the maintenance depot. Earlier in Gujarat Vande Bharat train collided with cattle in which the front part of the train was damaged.SS2MS
