Rishikesh, Former Indian team captain Virat Kohli is constantly visiting the temple and ashram. He went to Vrindavan before the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Earlier, Virat also went to a temple in Nainital with his wife. Now Virat Kohli has reached Rishikesh with his wife Anushka before the Test series against Australia starting from February 9. There, both visited PM Narendra Modi’s guru’s ashram.
Indian team is playing T20 series against New Zealand. Virat Kohli has been given a break from this. Taking advantage of it, he has reached Dayanand Giri Ashram in Rishikesh. He is accompanied here by his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Wamika.
Swami Dayanand Giri is also the Guru of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to media reports, Virat and Anushka have arrived here for a religious ceremony.
Virat Kohli also participated in Ganga Aarti. According to reports, the public relations officer of the ashram said that after reaching here, he also visited the samadhi of Brahmin Dayananda Saraswati. Both meditated there for about 20 minutes, their pictures are fast going viral on social media. Virat may stay there till Tuesday evening. The husband and wife are also going to organize a Bhandara there.
Virat Kohli has batted well in ODIs and T20Is but his bat has been quiet in Tests. After November 2019, he could not score a century in Tests. His bat scored 116 runs in 3 Tests in 2020, 536 runs in 11 Tests in 2021 and 265 runs in 6 Tests in 2022.
