A fine of 75 lakhs was imposed

In a place called Tainan, there lives a man with the surname Huang, who keeps two pet parrots. He took them with him to the park, so that he could exercise himself and the parrot could fly a little. Meanwhile a parrot scared the jogging man with its wings so much that he fell down.
The fall dislocated his hip joint and fractured the bone. He had to go straight to the hospital and recovery took 6-7 months. Then it happened that the man sued the owner of the parrot. A case was filed in the court due to this act of a parrot with a wingspan of 40 cm and 60 cm.
The court agreed that this was negligence on the part of the parrot’s owner. In such a situation, he has been sentenced to pay a fine of 3.04 million New Taiwan dollars (75 lakh rupees) and to be imprisoned for 2 months.
Now the parrot’s owner is going to appeal against the decision as he feels it is excessive. The act of the parrot with a wingspan of 40 cm and 60 cm led to a court case.
