The Africa Caribbean SMEs Network, in collaboration with stakeholders from Africa and the Caribbean regions, is set to hold its first event in Liberia come June 2024. The event is expected to drive collaboration and innovation for small and medium enterprises, which are vital contributors to the economic growth of Africa and the Caribbean.
The network aims to enhance knowledge transfer between SMEs and create
opportunities for these businesses to grow and scale. According to a report by the World Bank, SMEs account for almost 50% of employment in Africa and the Caribbean and contribute significantly to GDP.
The Africa Caribbean SMEs Network is poised to leverage this enormous potential to drive economic growth, provide job opportunities, and stabilize the regions’ economies.
Through networking and collaboration, the network will provide access to funding, technical assistance, and mentoring for SMEs and drive multidimensional growth.
The inaugural event will be a historic moment for SMEs in the regions, and only members of the Africa Caribbean SMEs Network will be able to attend. The event will
feature industry experts and investors, and SMEs will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with these stakeholders for mutual benefit.
