Bargain hunters are legging it to their local Tesco, desperate to get their hands on large selection boxes of Lindt truffles[/caption]
The popular chocs, famed for their super smooth melty filling, are a firm favourite amongst millions of Brits.
But the family favourite Lindor Milk Chocolate Truffles don’t come cheap.
A 337g carton will set you back £9.50, while a 200g carton is £6.
However, Tesco have come to the rescue, and have reduced a 525g share box of the treats to just £3.75 – yes, you heard that correctly.
One bargain hunter was left stunned when shopping in her local Tesco, when she spotted the reduced buy of assorted truffles.
Thrilled with her find, Donna Mcelhinney took to social media to alert other shoppers.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.4 million members, Donna shared a picture of her purchase and penned: “Absolutely great find today in Tesco Superstore in Oldham.
“Should have been £15 reduced to £3.75.
“Was originally looking for the 1kg Christmas ones, I’ve not seen these boxes before which I think are quiteand different.”
The large box of Lindlt Lindor assorted truffles were originally priced at £15, but have now been reduced by £11.25.
So whether you’re a fan of the original red truffles, or fancy giving another flavour a try, this box is one for you.
And if you’ve finished your Christmas chocolate and fancy a treat, you’ll need to sprint to your local supermarket.
Donna shared her post just 17 hours ago, but it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 367 likes and 153 comments.
Social media users were stunned at the reduced to clear find, which many of which took to the comments to express.
One person said: “Well done, good find. Shame they don’t have any offers online.”
Another added: “I’ve never seen these boxes! Great find.”
A third commented: “I paid £12 for those and that was only because it was Clubcard price so that’s a really good deal. Only wanted them for the pistachio flavour lol.”
Meanwhile, someone else asked: “Was this the regular chocolate aisle?”
To this, Donna confirmed: “On the Easter aisle.”
At the same time, many shoppers tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the reduced buy.
One shopper asked a Facebook user: “Fancy going?!”
A second wrote to a loved one: “Pop in Tesco for me to see if they have these.”
Whilst someone else tagged a loved one and penned: “Get down to Tesco babe.”
