But the helicopter carrying Ibrahim Raisi along with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian, Governor of East Azerbaijan Province Malek Rahmati and religious leader Mohammad Ali did not return. Ale Hashem was also in the chopper. The third helicopter crashed in Iran's East Azerbaijan province. Emergency teams have reached the site where President Raisi's helicopter crashed in East Azerbaijan.

A continuous search operation has been going on since the accident, in which 40 teams are working. The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, asked the army to search for the helicopter.
All the equipment of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and law enforcement forces were ordered to be used. At the same time, Turkey sent its night vision helicopter to Iran along with a rescue team and 3 vehicles. Earlier, Iranian media reported that the burning site had been discovered and rescue teams were being sent to an area called 'Tawil'. The Turkish drone shared its coordinates with Iranian officials.
