Paris 24 July 2024: Ahead of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games this weekend, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) today announced that leading Indian philanthropist and founder of the Reliance Foundation, Ms. Nita M. Ambani represented India as a member of the IOC at the ongoing 142nd IOC in Paris. Re-elected unanimously with 100% of the vote in the session. Nita M. Ambani Re-Elected as IOC Member”
Speaking after her re-election, Mrs. Nita. M. Ambani said, “I feel very honored to be re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee. I thank President Bach and all my colleagues at the IOC for their faith and trust in me.

Nita Ambani was first appointed to join this prestigious organization at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games 2016. Since then, Nita Ambani, as India's first woman to join the IOC, has propelled India's sporting ambitions and Olympic vision, along with intensive efforts for the association since its inception.
His efforts included organizing the first session of the IOC in over 40 years at Mumbai in October 2023, which was widely praised for presenting a newly ambitious India to the world.
