Agricultural practices adapted to the prevailing times for the farmers of Gujarat, With the auspicious intention of introducing technology and innovative approaches by the state government on the following date. “Ravi Krishi Mohotsav-2024” has been organized on December 6 and 7. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel and Agriculture Minister Shri Raghavji Patel will inaugurate the statewide “Ravi Krishi Mahotsav-2024” from Dantiwada Agricultural University of Banaskantha district.
Agriculture Minister Mr. Raghavji Patel gave detailed details and said that, Next date Taluk level Ravi Krishi Mohotsav will be held at 246 taluk centers across the state during December 6 and 7. Government of Gujarat Ministers of Taluka Headquarters Programmes, MPs, Various office bearers and high officials including MLAs will inaugurate. More than 2.5 lakh farmers of Gujarat will participate in this Ravi Krishi Mohotsav.
He said that, Agricultural scientists and experts can interact directly with farmers, can solve their problem, Can provide proper guidance, Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi started a new tradition of Krishi Mohotsav in the year 2005 with the good intention of being able to inform about new farming methods and research based on the problems of farmers.
“Ravi Krishi Mohotsav-2024” has been organized by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the guidance of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendrabhai Patel, which started this tradition for the overall development of the agricultural sector.
The Krishi Mohotsav has truly realized the Prime Minister's mantra of 'Labor to Land'., Minister Shri Patel added that, The organization of Krishi Mohotsav has bridged the gap between farmers and agricultural scientists-experts. This planning of the state government made it easier for the agricultural scientists to understand the real situation of the farmers and they also got success in conducting researches according to the problems of the farmers.
The Krishi Mohotsav program is a unique program across the country started with a unique vision of the Prime Minister, By means of which the income of the farmers of Gujarat has also increased manifold. The Minister requested maximum number of farmers to participate in this Ravi Krishi Mohotsav.
Giving a detailed explanation about the program, the Minister of Agriculture said that, Various technical guidance seminars in this two-day festival, Demonstration of organic farming, Demonstration of modern agricultural technology, A visit to a model farm of natural agriculture and an animal health camp have been organised. Simultaneously, the progressive farmers of the state will also be awarded the Sardar Patel Agricultural Research Award and the Atma Best Farmer Award during the programme.
Besides, natural and sustainable farming by the scientists of the Agricultural University, Value addition in agriculture and horticulture crops, Mix farming with horticultural crops, Natural farming, Preseason Farming, Guidance on modern technology in agricultural and horticultural crops, Value addition in millet crops, Farmers will be guided on various topics like successful animal husbandry.
