Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway is likely to be commissioned by the end of 2018
(Agency) Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad has an international airport functioning. And now the country's first Greenfield Smart City Greenfield Airport is coming up in Dholerar. About 80 percent of the construction of the 109 km long expressway from Ahmedabad to Dholera has been completed.
The expressway is likely to start around the end of 2018. After the construction of this expressway will be completed, Ahmedabad's smart city Dholera can be reached in only 40-45 minutes.
Ahmedabad to Dholera can be reached in the same time as it takes to reach from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar. This expressway has also connected Ahmedabad's Sardar Patel Ring Road with Dholera.
About 4,373 crores have been spent on the construction of Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway. The route of this express at Sardar Patel Rirg Road Interchange is 5 km. The long stretch is fully prepared. Currently, this expressway is being constructed with 8 lanes. But there is a provision in it that, if required, it can be widened to 12 lanes. At present, the steel rail overbridge is almost ready here.
An important stop of this expressway will be Pipli Junction, which will connect to Dholera International Airport. Expressway near Pipli Junction is nearing completion. A signboard regarding the speed limit of vehicles has been installed here. In which a limit of 120 km-per-hour for cars and 80 km-per-hour for commercial vehicles has been fixed.
