Nationalism among the youth of the NCC's Dandi Path Yatra through which it will pass, Dedication, The price of public service will be revealed: Education Minister Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya
The Dandi Path Yatra from Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram to Dandi was flagged off by Education Minister Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya.
Education Minister Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya flagged off a 410 km Pad Yatra organized by Gujarat NCC cadets from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi with the message of 'Developed India, Self-reliance, Swachh Bharat, Swachh Bharat, Women Empowerment, Education with Discipline and Ethics, De-addiction'.
On this occasion, he said that this pada ayatra of NCC, which started from the holy land of Pujya Gandhiji, will reveal the spirit of patriotism, dedication and public service among the youth of the region wherever it passes. 40 young NCC cadets will undertake a 410 km pad yatra from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi in 14 days
Education Minister Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya further said that if every citizen of India fulfills his duties honestly with unity, dedication and love for the nation, then we will be able to move towards development at a faster pace.
The youth of NCC have always been a source of inspiration for other youth. He further added that a country which has patriotism and a sense of pride among the youth of a country becomes prosperous and moves towards progress.
Education Minister Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya congratulated the NCC cadets participating in this Pad Yatra and wished the Yatra a success in its objective.
ADC Major General Ramesh Chandraji of NCC Gujarat, giving details of this Dandi Path Pada Yatra, said that to spread the message of 'Developed India, Self-reliant India, Clean India, Healthy India, Women Empowerment, Education with Discipline and Ethics, Addiction Freedom' to every corner of the state from 10th December. This Dandi Pad Yatra will be held on December 24, 2024. 40 young NCC cadets will end the pada yatra at Dandi Salt Satyagraha Memorial in Dandi by traveling 410 km.
It may be mentioned here that the cadets will perform street plays and social awareness programs during this pada yatra. Along with this will also interact with schools, colleges and organizations as well as communities.
Besides, after reaching the Dandi Salt Satyagraha Memorial, the cadets will symbolically prepare salt as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's historic Satyagraha. This salt will be taken to New Delhi and presented to the Prime Minister during the NCC PM Rally on 28 January 2025.
This inspiring initiative by the NCC cadets of Gujarat not only honors the legacy of the Dandi march, but also inspires every citizen to contribute to the progress and unity of the nation.
On the occasion of the departure of this Yatra, Brigadier Group Commander NV Nath of NCC Group Headquarters Ahmedabad, NCC officers, trainers, cadets, Deputy Director of Sabarmati Ashram Mr. Virat Kothari and employees of Sabarmati Ashram were present.
