Minister of State for Water Supply at the Legislative Assembly, Shri Mukeshbhai Patel said that the extra water of the Narmada river flowing into the sea has reached the village-village of Gujarat today as a result of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi's foresight. Today, as a result of all the schemes and ambitious schemes like Sujalam Sufalam, our state has become waterlogged.
Responding to a question asked by a member in the Legislative Assembly, Minister of State Shri Mukeshbhai Patel further said that under the Sujalam Sufalam scheme, Rs. A total of six pipelines have been completed at a cost of over Rs.
He further said that under Deodar -Lakhani Pipeline Scheme in Banaskantha, Rs. A 1.5 km long pipeline will be installed with a capacity of about 5 cusecs at a cost of Rs. Through this pipeline, 3 villages of Deodar taluka, 3 villages of Lakhani taluka, 3 villages of Deesa taluka and 3 villages of Tharad taluka will be connected to a total of 4 lakes.
Similarly, under the Tharad – Dhanera Pipeline Scheme, Rs. A 1.5 km long pipeline will be installed at a cost of about 5 cusecs at a cost of Rs. Through which 3 villages of Tharad taluka and 3 villages of Dhanera taluka will be connected to the pipeline, a total of 4 lakes of the village will be connected to the pipeline, he added. The Minister assured that the work of both these pipelines will be completed in the next two years.
