New Delhi, With the help of Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram’s aggressive half-centuries, Sunrisers Hyderabad have maintained their winning streak in the 14th season of the IPL T20 cricket tournament. Sunrisers Hyderabad thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets in a thrilling IPL-204 match on Friday.
This is Hyderabad’s third consecutive victory. Hyderabad have played five matches so far out of which they have won three matches. Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat first in the match played at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium on Friday. Kolkata scored 18 for eight in the allotted 20 overs with the help of aggressive batting from Nitish Rana and Andre Russell.
In reply, Hyderabad won the match by 18 runs for the loss of three wickets in 18.4 overs. In reply to Hyderabad’s 18-run target, Hyderabad lost opener Abhishek Sharma by three runs. He scored three runs.
Skipper Kane Williamson was dismissed for 12. However, Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram batted aggressively to ease Hyderabad to victory. The Jade had a 2-run partnership. Rahul Tripathi’s superb innings came to an end when the team was a few runs away from victory.
Rahul Tripathi hit 41 off 9 balls with four fours and six sixes. Markram, meanwhile, hit an unbeaten six off six balls, including six fours and four sixes. For Kolkata, Andre Russell was quick for two and Pat Cummins was quick for one.
The Kolkata Knight Riders had a bad start. The opening jade of Venkatesh Iyer and Aaron Finch failed to give the team a good start.
