Birmingham, India has got one more silver medal in Commonwealth Games-2022. Indian judoka Tulika Mane has won silver medal in judo 78 kg category. In the judo event, this is India’s second silver and third bronze medal. So today India has captured two bronze and one silver medal. With this, India’s total number of medals has reached 16. Earlier Sushila Devi won silver and Vijay Kumar Yadav bronze medal in judo.
India’s star squash player Sourav Ghosal has won the bronze medal by defeating England’s player. With this, Saurav Ghoshal has also created history. He became the first Indian to win a medal in the squash singles event at the Commonwealth Games. Saurav Ghosal defeated England’s James Willstrop 11-6, 11-1, 11-4 in the bronze medal match.
Three more medals have been secured for India at the Commonwealth Games. Three boxers from India have reached the semi-finals. Indian Boxer Mohammad Hussamuddin has got a place in the semis by performing brilliantly. Female boxer Neetu Dhandhas has secured a place in the semi-finals of the 48 kg category.
