For the quarter ended March 2023, the company posted Rs. 41.26 crore in Q4FY22 as compared to Rs. 20.51 crores up 101% from sales. Net profit during Q4FY23 was Rs. 54 lakh was registered.
The company has started a pilot project of sorghum cultivation on 5,000 acres in Rajasthan and is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 1 lakh tonnes over a three-year period. The company plans to undertake this project on a very large scale in the state over the next 10 years.
The company expects the project to be beneficial for all stakeholders. Sargava has the potential to double farmers’ income over time. Biodiesel made from sorghum and intercropping of camellia oil and sustainable aviation fuel from camellia will help in energy security and reducing foreign exchange outflows. This initiative has the potential to attract high value industries through availability of feed-stock in following five industries in Rajasthan 1) Biodiesel 2) Sustainable Aviation Fuel 3) Torrified Renewable Coal 4) Animal Feed 5) Pharma Products.
